Adam’s Story
I’m Adam Smith, and I run Invision Plumbing from North Curl Curl on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
I’m a licensed plumber and gas fitter. I specialise in bathroom and kitchen renovations as well as first-storey additions, but I also do drain cleaning with jet blasting and CCTV camera inspections, maintenance, stormwater, gas fitting, drainage, residential construction, and water filtration. If it involves water or gas in your home, I’ve got it covered.
But if you ask the people who’ve used me, they’ll probably tell you the same thing: I’m honest about what needs doing, I quote upfront, I do clean work, and I actually answer my phone.
That last one sounds basic. But if you’ve ever tried calling three plumbers on a Saturday morning and got voicemail every time, you know it’s not.
Why I Love What I Do
I really love a challenge — and plumbing definitely has its challenges. There are so many different ways you can solve a job, so many variations of things you can do. I feel like it’s endless, and the more I plumb, the more excited I get about it.
Plumbing is a never-ending, evolving trade. New technology, new tap ware, new ways to do things — so many changes. It’s just brilliant that we get to keep evolving with the world of plumbing. There’s always something new to learn, and that’s what keeps me going.
More than anything, I enjoy helping people and giving them the best service I can. I love taking care of other people and doing the right thing for the community and for the families whose houses I work in. Being an owner-operator, I want to provide an honest and reputable service — the kind where people recommend me because they know they’ve been looked after. They know I’m someone who’s taken care of their home.
When I’m Not Under Your House
I’m a morning person. My day starts with the sunrise and a coffee — just taking a moment to chill out before getting stuck into the day’s work.
My biggest passion outside of plumbing is the ocean. I’m a massive ocean lover. All I want to do is explore the coastline over time — travelling up and down the coast, chasing all different species, exploring different landscapes, and just seeing what the day brings. Pilot whales, all sorts of fish — I’m hooked on chasing the behaviours of different species and constantly learning more about the ocean. Every time I’m out on the water, it just fuels the passion more and more.
In the afternoons you’ll find me playing tennis with my sister and friends, at the gym, or picking up the guitar. But if it’s hard to get me on a Saturday arvo, I’m probably out on the water somewhere off the Northern Beaches.

I’ll come to your home, look at the problem, tell you what I think, give you a price, and do the work myself. If I think you don’t actually need a plumber for something, I’ll tell you that too.
